Brake fluid should be replaced at least every two years, or if the fluid approaches the wet boiling point!
Application Notes: Clean the test tip with water after use
Water absorption (hygroscopicity) lowers the boiling point of the brake fluid. Long braking periods can cause the formation of steam bubbles, leading to brake failure. The most accurate method to monitor the boiling point of brake fluid is to use our boiling point tester. Brake fluid should be replaced if the boiling point is below the recommended minimum temperature.
